Hi guys! First I want to express how thrilled I am that you have linked my inspirations video to your site. Thank you! I just have to tell you a really cool story about my history that I think you will thoroughly enjoy. In 2004 I picked up my first set of practice poi (home of poi tennis balls with nylon tails – remember those?)with the COL 2 dvd. If you recall this was during dial up and youtube did not quite exist at that point. There was not a soul spinning in my location so I put my nose to the grindstone and taught myself using this video. Then two very instrumental videos entered my life and found their place on my computer harddrive – one was Nick Woosley’s and the other was YUTA’s. I coveted Yuta’s video and made everyone I know watch it just to see the expressions on their face. I watched it thousands of times and tried to break it down. Yuta has been instrumental in teaching me what I know and what I am translating into the twin hoops. So please pass this on to him and give him a huge Cari hug and a great big THANK YOU! Nothing pleases me more than to think that someone out there is watching my video and breaking it down like I did Yuta’s. Funny how things come full circle – just like a hoop!
